Traveling Rats

	*Dallas* I was excited about my trip to Dallas. The first thing I did when I was there was join the Rat Association of Texas (RAT) for their World Rat Day celebration. World Rat Day -- how cool is that? Marie of Warm Fuzzies Rattery brought some baby rats for me to meet and play with before their new moms and dads came to pick them up and take them home.
	Aren't they cute? At first they were a little shy but they quickly got to see that I'm just as much fun as any other rat-pal.
	The next weekend I went to the Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie. There, I met many of the performers and artisans who were showing off their skills. As soon as we arrived, we met a young woman who had a beautiful plush rat on her shoulder. In the afternoon, we queued up to meet Real Musgrave and his wife, Muff. Mr. Musgrave is the creator of Pocket Dragons.
	Mr. Musgrave signed the figurines and posters I purchased at the Festival. He even tried to autograph me! Ha ha!

	Some of my host's friends joined us for the Festival. I had lots of fun spending time at the Festival with them.
	After the Festival, we ate dinner at Rockfish. This is a great seafood restaurant. I had to have the sampler, of course, so I could try a bit of everything.
	The next weekend we went for a hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve. Halfway through I had to stop to romp through the bluebonnets. It is Texas tradition to have one's picture taken with bluebonnets, so of course I had to pose with them.
	Believe it or not, I went to a cat show! The Cat Fanciers' Association was having a show in Mesquite, so I went along with my host to see it. I discovered we went mostly to visit with some of my host's friends, Tom and Rebekah of Majikmoon Sphynx Cattery. They are the breeders of my friend Squench, who lives with my host. Here I am mingling with the very well-mannered Majikmoon cats.
